Support At a Distance (SAAD) Program
Support at a Distance (SAAD) Program is the flagship program of the Foundation that aims to bridge the education gap for marginalized students from indigent families. SAAD offers scholarship to various levels from elementary level to college level to assist them in completing their education and become productive members of society.
As of 2024, we have 148 scholars belonging to 110 families residing from different areas in Cavite mainly in Tagaytay City, Silang and Dasmariñas City. They are sponsored by our local and international benefactors. On 2021, we accepted scholars from Batangas (Laurel and Agoncillo) due to outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to scholarship, SAAD program includes various components as part of the Foundation's holistic approach. These are values formation and life skills training, School of Life for the parents, health care services, community services, and livelihood program.
Our Partners
Health
Our Foundation is also committed to supporting the health and well-being of every child. To that end, we invite medical professionals who can provide medical and dental check-ups for our children at least twice a year. We had already partnered with medical volunteers, coming from a variety of locations, to ensure that each child receives the care they need to maintain their health. We believe that every child deserves access to quality healthcare and we highly appreciate our medical volunteers for being part of our previous check-ups.
In addition to medical and dental check-ups, our children also undergo deworming twice a year with the consent of their parents/guardians, unless it has already been done by the barangay where the child resides.
In maintaining the nutrition of our children in daycare, we make sure to give them nutritious foods based on the meal plan prepared by our Health and Nutrition Staff.
Values Formation
At Bukas Palad (BP) Tagaytay Foundation, Inc., we not only provide financial aid to our beneficiaries, but also monthly formations. We believe that building a strong foundation starts from within. Our values formation workshops equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to cultivate positive attitudes, resilience, and character. Through interactive sessions, we aim to empower our scholars to make responsible choices and become agents of change in their community. Moreover, they are taught catechism to help them deepen and fully understand their faith in God.
Le Gemme Child Development Center
Le Gemme Day Care Center (LGDC) is dedicated to providing a holistic learning experience for children, recognizing that each child is an integral part of a larger community. LGDC believes that a child’s formation should be approached from a comprehensive perspective that emphasizes the importance of a learning environment that fosters growth, and creativity.
Our learning center accepts children as young as 2 years old to continue honing their learning process and build social relationships with other children.
