In collaboration with the National Association of Filipino Dentists in America (NAFDA) and the San Diego Filipino Dental Association (SDFDA), BP-Tagaytay Foundation, Inc. (BPTFI) successfully conducted a dental mission on February 24, 2025. Initially planned for August 2024, the activity was rescheduled to ensure proper coordination and a wider reach.

The mission aimed to provide dental education and fluoride treatment to 200 participants, including children, young adults, and heads of families. Due to limited participation from SAAD beneficiaries and Le Gemme Child Development Center learners, the event was also opened to residents of Bagong Silang, a nearby community where many SAAD beneficiaries reside.

To ensure a smooth registration process, stubs were distributed ahead of time, with additional ones prepared on-site due to an unexpected increase in attendees. The program officially started in the afternoon, beginning with an introduction to BPTFIโ€™s programs and services. Participants enjoyed a special performance by elementary SAAD scholars before dental professionals conducted an engaging demonstration on proper tooth-brushing techniques. A fluoride rinse followed, with volunteers ensuring strict hygiene protocols. Children and young adults received free toothbrushes and fluoride toothpaste.

To make the event more enjoyable, members of NAFDA and SDFDA performed a lively song-and-dance routine about dental hygiene. Adding to the excitement, the Jollibee mascot entertained the children with an energetic dance performance, followed by a structured photo opportunity.

As part of the community support initiative, rice was distributed to registered heads of families, with around 80 recipients receiving 5 kilograms each. Meals were also provided to participants, though an unexpected influx of unregistered attendees led to minor distribution challenges.

The event concluded with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation to NAFDA and SDFDA, followed by a pediatric check-up, where a volunteer pediatrician attended to five children. Dr. Aguilar, the lead dentist, also donated a teeth model and an educational tarpaulin on proper oral hygiene to BPTFI.
